Star Denies Anti-Vaxxer Position After Voicing Disputed Covid Feature

The acclaimed actor has lent his voice to a recent film that casts doubt on the legitimacy of vaccinations and praises ex- cabinet secretary RFK Jr.

The Feature's Disputed Origins

Titled "Plague of Corruption," the documentary is adapted from a popular book published by a disgraced researcher, who became famous during the pandemic for allegations that Covid was a result of a faulty batch of the flu vaccine.

The publication's collaborator, the executive producer, has also written books with far-right radio host a known commentator. The producer recently posted hailing Neeson's participation in the film.

An Unequivocal Rebuttal

Representatives for Liam Neeson have released a comment strongly denying suggestions that he supports anti-immunization views.

"We all recognize that corruption might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be confused with opposition to vaccines," the comment states. "Neeson is not, and is not, anti-vax. His extensive work with the UN children's agency highlights his consistent support for public-health initiatives."

It continued that the performer did not shape the project's narrative and that concerns about its claims should be directed to the filmmakers.

Central Claims Within the Documentary

According to the documentary, the script read by Neeson includes several provocative statements:

  • It suggests that pro-vaccine voices have insisted on "unconditional submission" to health authorities.
  • It argues that "medical science has become highly influenced by politics."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured saying, "The major issue with vaccines is that they simply are not safely tested."
  • The narration takes aim at Covid lockdowns, claiming they caused mental anguish that led to the loss of thousands of lives.
  • Regarding the immunizations, it mentions a report that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "risky trials."

Previous Context and Current Issues

The documentary includes a 2004 BBC documentary about AIDS medication trials on children, which was subsequently the subject of a correction by the broadcaster for unbalanced reporting.

Recently, Kennedy instructed the CDC to change its long-held position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism. This claim is also referenced in the film, contrary to a new report from the WHO stating no evidence has been found.

An Earlier Position of Advocacy

Standing in contrast to the documentary's tone, Neeson has in the past shown strong support for vaccines in his role as a charity ambassador.

In 2022, he described vaccines as "an extraordinary triumph," adding that "The conversation about vaccines in the past few years has forgotten how much benefit they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest shared accomplishments in history."

The film concludes with Neeson's script saying, "This isn't the end of our journey. Rather, it is the dawn of a different phase."
