Recent Particulars Emerge About the Finding of Rob and Michele Singer Reiner's Remains

Fresh particulars have surfaced concerning the tragic demises of esteemed film director Rob Reiner and artist Michele Singer Reiner, whose remains were located at their Los Angeles home home on Sunday.

A Alarm

According to a report referencing a family associate, a massage therapist arriving for an appointment was the first to notice something was wrong after being unable to gain access the residence. The therapist then contacted the couple's daughter, Romy Reiner, who resides in the vicinity.

After gaining access to the home, Romy found her father's body. Reports state she then fled the house in anguish, without knowing at that moment that her mother's body was there as well. Her roommate who had gone with her contacted 911. Subsequently, first responders located Michele Singer Reiner's body.

Criminal Proceedings

Law enforcement have charged the couple's 32-year-old son, Nick Reiner, with the charges of first-degree murder, including the charge related to a weapon, said to be a knife. He is currently detained and is ineligible for bail.

Correcting the Record

The anonymous source also disputed several earlier details. It was stated that while Romy Reiner informed first responders that her brother Nick lived in a separate structure on the estate, she did not name him as a potential suspect at that juncture.

Additionally disputed circulated claims that Rob and Michele Singer Reiner had been especially "apprehensive" about Nick's conduct in the preceding period. Instead the family was "used to working through [Nick's] problems together."

The statement includes accounts of reportedly "unstable" behavior by Nick at a event held by Conan O'Brien the evening prior to the bodies were found. While the source stated they were unable to confirm whether Rob had "chastised" his son at the party, they said that reports of a "blow-up" between the two were not correct.

Ongoing Inquiry Timeline

Per law enforcement sources, the medical examiner had still not confirmed as of Tuesday whether the Reiners died late on Saturday or on Sunday. Some accounts noted the state of their bodies pointed to they had been deceased for a period of time.

Nick Reiner was taken into custody at around 9:30 p.m. on Sunday in the Exposition Park area, some 15 miles from the family home. He was set to have a hearing on Tuesday, but his lawyer, Alan Jackson, indicated his client had not received medical clearance and would be unable to attend until no sooner than Wednesday.
